Deron (DJ) Haley

Partner and Chief Operating Officer


Mr. Haley is the Chief Operating Officer at Durational Capital Management. Prior to co-founding DCM, he was the COO of Hound Partners, a global long / short equity Tiger seed hedge fund. Prior to Hound, Mr. Haley led firm-wide operational and management initiatives as a senior executive at Ziff Brothers Investments, LLC, a multi-billion-dollar, global family office that invested directly in private and public equities, fixed income, global-macro, and commodities.  Mr. Haley began his finance career as an  equity research analyst, and later a registered trader before taking on senior managerial roles.

Mr. Haley served five years active duty in the United States Navy (SEAL). He is a Director of publicly listed Tetragon Financial Group, Ltd, a diversified alternative asset investment company. DJ is a founding Director of the Navy SEAL Foundation, and member of the Board of Advisors of FAMIL.  Mr. Haley sits on the Investment Committee of The Heinz Endowments, and the Sustainability Committee for the city of Rye, NY. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School.
